Bread Tagging

As a continuation of my series sharing work I created while the 2014 Working Artist at Tiger Lily Press I thought I would post some images of my print Bread Tagging.  I have an obsession with collecting the plastic tags that are used to close bread, plastic nets of brussel sprouts, potatoes, etc.  They come in a multitude of shapes – some with etched expiration dates and other consumer related information.  After mounting the tags to scrap mat board they were inked up and printed giving the finished work you see in the second image.
